IDLEWILD. Stationery and gifts! Idlewild Co. is a boutique paper goods and gift company founded in 2010 by artist and designer, Katie Gastley. Which would later become a nationally distributed stationery line began with a tiny pop-up store at the Renegade Craft Festival in McCarren Park, Brooklyn. A few shoppers noticed her whimsically hand-painted Brooklyn neighbourhood prints and asked if Katie would create wedding stationery based on the artwork- and shortly thereafter she was working on her first commissioned invitations. With a robust collection of hand-painted wedding suites under her belt, she expanded her work into a line of greeting cards and hand-bound notebooks that debuted at the National Stationery Show. In a few short years, the brand has established itself as a go-to independent source for creative gift products, selling through hundreds of stores across the globe, including here at Beserk.

In 2013 Idlewild Co. relocated to the sunny shores of Vero Beach, Florida, where the team operates from today. Their mission is driven by a passion for unique, artisan-quality products that offer a breath of fresh air in today’s gift market. They aim to produce a distinctly graphic line of covetable goods with an independent flair; a fun and fresh alternative to the correspondence of yore. The small team at Idlewild works with tireless enthusiasm and brings great ideas to the table, and makes them a reality. If you are looking for bespoke, unique, and memorable gift cards, greeting cards, birthday cards, we can certainly recommend Idlewild's products.

Each gift card we stock definitely has a bespoke feel, that is, it looks and feels like it was designed and made for a particular person, and that they appear genuine and authentic. And they are adorable! A particular favourite of ours is the "Hang in there" sloth card, "Mr. & Mr." card (which is perfect to accompany a wedding gift for a gay couple). They come in a white envelope that is blank on the inside, so you can put your own unique message in them.
