Mermaids are known for their aquatic grace, alluring appeal, their beauty, and the fact that we all had a crush on Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Don't deny it! In folklore and mythology, mermaids are ocean creatures with the head and upper body of a human female, with the tail of a fish. Mermaids are, in some cultures, associated with perilous events and natural disasters such as floods, storms, shipwrecks, and drowning. In other cultures they are benevolent and beneficent, bestowing gifts or falling in love with humans. Just to be clear, male mermaids fictionally exist too; they are called "mermen". Sightings of mermaids still exist in the modern-day!

It has been a childhood endeavour for many young girls to be princesses but being a mermaid princess would be the best!
