Bob Ross is a staple of Television, having a soothing and peaceful nature while instructing us how to paint in his amazing TV series called The Joy of Painting, which aired for 11 years from 1983-1994. Bob Ross started his career in painting while serving in the United States Air Force has been a Master Sergeant. While he was enlisted in the United States Air Force, Bob worked in Alaska which is where he took a lot of his inspiration for his paintings. Having learnt his skills from fellow wet-on-wet painter Bill Alexander, Bob Ross became a household name and has since become a pop culture icon.
