PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The quick, easy and healthy way to remove colour from your hair!

Bleach Free. Ammonia Free. With Argan oil.

Zalon Pro Colour Remover Kit is a 3-step system that removes all types of oxidised hair colour by reversing the process and shrinking the colour out of the hair.

Directions:
1. Mix equal amounts of part 1 and part 2 (approx. 50ml of each) and apply to dry hair using a tint bowl and brush.
Zalon colour remover is supplied in pump bottles for ease of use (for example, 10 pumps of part 1 mix with 10 pumps of part 2*).
2. Leave to develop for 30 minutes. Never less than 30 minutes as the colour may re-oxidise and not be removed. The process stops itself once it is completed, so no harm will be done if it is left in the hair over the 30 minutes.
3. Rinse with warm water for 5 minutes.
4. Apply approximately 25ml of part 3 and lather (similar to shampoo) and leave for 1 minute.
5. Rinse with warm water for 5 minutes. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5. The process is then complete.

Contains Argan oil – this adds shine and conditions the hair. Does not cause any damage to the hair, gently and safely returning it to its pre-treated condition.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a restrictive sale item and can only be distributed within Australia!

Mixed Thoughts

So I bought this to strip some temporary pink out of my hair (Lime Crime's Choc Raspberry) and it kind of worked? Definitely took the pink out, but instead of returning my hair to its bleached base, it just turned it a pale blue? I'm sure there's a scientific explanation for it, but I'm not sure what caused this reaction.

Also, it has quite a strong chemical smell that will stay on your hair for about a week.

Turned my hair blue when removing orange and pink dye

Turned my hair blue when removing orange and pink dye. I don't think I'll be using this again unless it is on sale, too expensive for subpar results.

Hi Bee,
We're sorry to hear about your experience. We appreciate your honest feedback. While this is not a common issue, this reaction could be from a few different things. Based on previous dye treatments, processing time and washing product out thoroughly, sometimes an oxidization reaction can happen removing only warmer tones but leaving the cool tones from the previous dyes. Seeking advice from a hair professional may be able to provide more information on how to avoid this in the future. We do appreciate you sharing this experience to help others in their decision making process. - Beserk xx

Worked great!!! Smells awful but it got a decent

Worked great!!! Smells awful but it got a decent amount of black box dye out of my hair :)

I recommended getting two boxes if you have long hair

This stuff is magic on damaged hair

This stuff is magic!
I have porous, chemically damaged hair - and it removed the remaining red plus my hair feels fine.

(My hair is a combination of direct dye and professional dye - so I washed my hair 5 times with anti dandruff shampoo to strip the direct dye out. Took the remaining faded red out like a breeze).

Definitely make sure you follow the instructions for rinse times, it really smells, the it doesn’t smell if you wash it enough)

I love the ease and efficiency of this product

I love the ease and efficiency of this product. I have long hair, so I find I need two kits to get the job done. My hair is frequently dyed red, which is one of the trickier colors to remove, and this product removes it without much trouble. My hair is ready to receive color within an hour. The only downside, is the smell lingers for several days. It does NOT smell nice and wetting your hair after use really amplifies the odor. The odor is the only reason I give it 4 stars.

pleasantly surprised

really pleasantly surprised with how well this lifted colour!! it's lightened the 2layers of black box dye up to a dark brown, and the other half of my hair with semi permanent colour has gone to w nice gray tone 🙀 keen to try another round before I reach for the bleach again but this has already worked wonders 😻

This Works!!

I had years of black permanent hairdye build up. After using this my hair is back to a light brown. The smell is strong, but that's what a good hair stripper should be like. Sister is a hairdresser and was even amazed at the results. Highly recommend!!

What I expected

This was great for stripping build up from my hair. I have greens and blues and as it says, it does not strip those colours. But it was great to use in between bleaches to reset my hair. It does leave a bit of a smell, but my hair felt refreshed for weeks.

Great for stripping any other colour or build up from products.

Dark purple turned neon blue

Unfortunately this product didn't strip the colour from my hair properly and the dark purple changed to a neon blue, i wouldn't recommend for darker hair dyes

Not Too Bad

I bleached my hair first so that didn’t help but it did take a fair amount of the colour still left out. My hair didn’t feel the greatest afterwards but, again, I had bleached my hair so adding stuff on top of that didn’t help

I was hesitant to buy since I've layered semi permanent dye on my hair for years but it stripped pretty much everything down to the first colour I had in and my bleach! Perfect for what I was needing.

Love this stuff, I had 6+ months worth of dark green build up and 2 packs of this removed 95% of the colour whilst not damaging my hair at all. The smell is worth it for the results haha

Didn't exactly work on my hair which is a dark brown but worked on my daughters who's hair is a light brown

Definitely worth it.

I wanted to remove the blue side out of my split dye look. I used this and it managed to get almost all of the blue out entirely so I could put a beautiful orange over it! Be wary of how stinky it makes your hair after though!

Worked pretty well

I had bright neon green hair with washed out pink under the green. I would say it got probably 90% of the colour out. Overall worked well compared to other brands in the past

This stuff was amazing!

I figured this was going to do nothing but apparently it didn't harm hair so I gave it a try. Its is beyond amazing! It stripped old colour out of my hair that I didn't even know was in there anymore. Also didn't damage my super pre-damaged hair.

Simple, easy and pretty effective.

This is one of the easiest colour removal kits I've used and it does a pretty good job. I had done a full green event themed dye, and then stripped it using this kit ~9 days / 2 washes later and it got like... Most of the pigment out.

Run a clarifying shampoo a few times and you'll be fine switching to anything but pure plat/silver.

I use this a lot and highly recommend.

Gets colour out - smells strong though

Make sure you do it in an extremely ventilated room, even in my bathroom with the extractor fans on i was breathing in lots of fumes. had to sit outside while it processed. Did a good job at getting colour out though

What colour would bright blue with a bleached base go? Green?

Beserk

Hi There! It really just depends on the colour of the bleach base, if the bleach base is a neutral/white base then the dye with be your desired bright blue! However if the bleach base is yellow/yellow toned, the blue will mix with the yellow making teh hair go green! :) Hoping this helps! :) - Saz x

Would one kit be enough for thick, bra strap length hair or would I need two?

Beserk

As you have thick hair, I would recommend grabbing two just in case. You may not need both but it is better to have more than you need as opposed to not having enough. :) Thanks, Gemma xx
