NOTE: The shades appear different in the bottle than they do on the hair. Please do a strand test before doing an all over application.

Attention first time bleachers: if you have dark hair or previously dyed hair and are planning to bleach your hair prior to dye application, know that you must lift to a pale yellow to platinum colour that is evenly bleached. The colour of the hair prior to applying the dye will impact the shade results. All colours look best on platinum but darker tones will work on light and pale yellow tones of hair.

I've been attempting to get this shade of warm purple by mixing other brands for a while now. I'm super happy that I've found Lunar Tides plum and don't have to mess about any more. And it goes such a long way, super impressed, and the conditioning power, it was soft and shiny without having to condition after colouring.

Vibrant and blends well

This is my first time not using box dye. Plum purple blended beautifully with blue velvet and created a vibrant range of purple shades. As I hoped for, I was able to create a range of shades similar to the nightshade colour. If you’re looking for a bit of variation in purple hair colour, I would recommend plum purple and blue velvet combined! My hair was bleached to a little darker than the light blonde swatch, but I still got a really vibrant (almost glowing) colour, as pictured in light blonde. Blends well with my medium brown natural hair too. I haven’t yet washed it so I can’t attest to whether it fades, but I’ve had no stains or colour transfer from the dyed hair when it’s dry.

One of my favourites <3

I love purple dyes that lean more magenta than blue because I find that they look good through the entire fade process, and I also just prefer warmer purples on my skin tone, and this dye is one of my go-to’s when I’m doing purple. I think it’s on par with AF Violet Dream, so if you like that dye, this is just as good!

Used this dye for over a year and loved it, however the purple pretty quickly fades to more of a magenta after a few washes. It did bleach out perfectly, no staining at all
