Gorgeous, but disappointing

If you have skinnier feet I don't recommend going up a size. I'm usually an AU 8, ordered the US 9 per the sizing chart and got... a size too big! I should've exchanged the shoes at that point, but thick insoles remedied the issue. The shoes themselves were gorgeous, but the durability was disappointing. On not even my 3rd time wearing the shoes out, the flimsy hardware housing the shoe-strap broke in half. I managed to replace the hardware, but soon the hardware on the other shoe broke, too. The DIY solution worked well for a bit, but after a while it wore the elastic surrounding the hardware - leaving me with a totally unusable shoe. While I should've sought out a repair, the amount of frustration these shoes gave me each wear made me chuck them out in the end. For $150 I really expected more use out of these. Good for photos, not so much for anything else.
