Firebox was established in 1998 under the name Hot Box - however, one small snag: that name was already an existing domain peddling hardcore p*rn. Since that wasn't really what the founders of Firebox were all about, a quick name change fixed that. They are more into cool gifts and (non-sexual) gadgets. Their very first creation was the Shot Glass Chess Set- a timeless cerebral battle of wits meeting "getting drunk". The more pieces you eliminate, the drunker you get. A fitting start to set the tone for future Firebox creations.
