Pokemon, also known as Pocket monsters in Japan, is an animated series created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. The series is based around fictional characters called "Pokemon". The humans, or "Pokemon Trainers" catch and train the Pokemon to fight each other for sports. Pokemon quickly became one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time with a whopping 90 billion dollars in revenue.

With 823 fictional species of Pokemon, there are so many to fall in love with. Over the years, Pokemon has become a household name, and to this day it still provides copious amounts of happiness, sadness, laughter and sometimes even hate. (TEAM ROCKET I'M LOOKING AT YOU!) No matter your age, Pokemon has a place in all of our hearts. With some of our favourite and loveable characters of all time, securing a bond with our childhoods that will last forever.
